He set $20,000 bond for a woman accused of accessory after the fact to the alleged killings.
Hebert ruled there was probable cause to believe Robert Rideau, Jr., 32, shot and killed the men in an Opelousas drugs encounter and that his actions meet the standard of “clearly a danger to the community at large.”
The judge noted that Rideau admitted to police he had purchased 18 ounces of cocaine from the men. Rideau denied killing them on Jan. 10 and burning the Opelousas house they were in.
Breyanna Vidrine, Rideau’s girlfriend, is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to the killings. Hebert set her bond at $10,000 on each charge. She is currently in custody in another jurisdiction.
