Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Lallas Joseph “L.J.” Thibodeaux Jr., 50, a Franklin native and resident of Baldwin, who passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 11:15 a.m., in Meridian, Mississippi as the result of a trucking accident.
L.J. enjoyed hunting and fishing and passing a good time with family and friends. He was a former member of the Franklin Jaycees and was a truck driver for the past 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, of 26 years, Kathleen Laine’ Thibodeaux of Baldwin; one daughter, Angelique Thibodeaux of Baldwin, mother, Barbara Borel Thibodeaux of Sikes; three brothers, Lawrence Thibodeaux of Baldwin, Tony Thibodeaux of Winnfield and Bob Thibodeaux of St. Francisville; one sister, Tammie Franks of Sikes; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Laine’ Robicheaux of Baldwin; two brothers-in-law, Paul “Polo” Laine’ of New Iberia and John “Johnny” Laine’ of The Woodlands, Texas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lallas Joseph Thibodeaux Sr.; one sister, Barbara Ann Thibodeaux Miller; his parents-in-law, Paul and Lena Laine’; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mathile Thibodeaux; maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Marie Borel; aunt and uncle, Marjorie and Henry Belanger; sister-in-law, Linda Laine’ Albert; and brother-in-law, Jeff Laine’.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, from 9 a.m. until service time.
The family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
