Mr. Leroy Bourgeois Jr., 76, a resident and native of Jeanerette, died Monday, January 2, 2012, at 5:57 a.m., at his residence following a short illness.
He is survived by three sisters, Doris Bourgeois Mallory of Colonie, New York, Alberda M. Bourgeois of Nashville, Tennessee and Lois B. Cassamier and husband, Junius, of Jeanerette.
Mr. Bourgeois was preceded in death by both parents.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. W.J. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Four Corners.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
