LIZZIE GROGAN DANGERFIELD

Mrs. Lizzie Grogan Dangerfield, 86, a resident and native of Patterson, died Monday, January 9, 2012, at 7:20 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.

She is survived by four sons, Samuel Dangerfield Sr. and Daniel Dangerfield, both of Patterson, Aaron Daniel Dangerfield Sr. of Sorrell and the Rev. Eliser Dangerfield of Birmingham, Alabama; five daughters, Martha M. Dangerfield, Mary Berry Hall and Toni Clay of Patterson, Tina Charlot of Bayou Vista and Audrey Mae Hall of Houston, Texas; 50 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Dangerfield was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, three great grandchildren, six sisters and nine brothers.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. Patrick C. Jones Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
