Lola M. Darby, 75, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 8:32 a.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Special Providence, from 9 a.m. until funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Lola leaves to cherish her fond memories six sons, Jerry Carl Darby, Michael Wayne Darby and Jerome (Monica) Darby, all of Franklin, Terry (Jackie) Darby of Broussard, Craig Darby and Joseph Earl Darby, both of Austin, Texas; seven daughters, Jennie Louise Darby and Mrs. Anthony (Alice Faith) Williams, Marsha Ann Green and Mrs. Don (Linda Marie) Moreaux Sr., all of Franklin, Lola Mae Darby and Mrs. Charles (Pauline Elizabeth) Watkins Jr., both of Austin, and Mrs. Darrell (Mable Louise) Wilbert of Round Rock, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Lester (Geraldine) Green of Austin, Mrs. Herman (Carolyn) Porter and Mable Green, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; four brothers, A.J. Green Sr. and Beuford (Magdalena) Green, both of Las Vegas, Isaiah Green and Murphy Green, both of Patterson; a sister-in-law; 29 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two godchildren; a devoted caretaker; faithful friends; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, extended sons and daughters, church family and many other special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, one granddaughter, one brother, three sisters and her grandparents.
