Miss Laborde, whose mother is the former Margaret Anne Foret, was graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the University of Virginia, where she graduated with distinction, played on the varsity volleyball team and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She received her juris doctor and bachelor of civil law degrees, magna cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. Miss Laborde is currently employed as an attorney at Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denège, L.L.P.
Miss Laborde is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ireneé Joseph Foret of Covington, Louisiana, Dr. and Mrs. George Griffin of Palo Alto, California, and Mr. and Mrs. John Peter Laborde of New Orleans.
Dr. McNulty, whose mother is the former Mary Livaudais Plauché, was graduated from Saint Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles and the University of Virginia, where he graduated with distinction, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was a member of Saint Anthony Hall fraternity. Dr. McNulty attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where he also completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital. Thereafter, he completed a sports medicine fellowship under Dr. James Andrews at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. McNulty is currently practicing with Southern Orthopaedic Specialists in New Orleans.
Dr. McNulty is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Lane Plauché of Lake Charles and of Mrs. Michael Jesse McNulty, Jr. and the late Judge McNulty of Franklin, Louisiana.
Following a wedding trip to Tahiti, the couple will reside in New Orleans.
