BAYOU VISTA _ Central Catholic’s Lady Eagles capitalized on Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers four errors to earn a 3-1 win in District 8-A action here Tuesday.

Central Catholic’s Meagan Landry gained the mound victory, tossing seven innings, giving up one run on five hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Hanson’s Evelyn Pontiff started on the rubber for the Lady Tigers, working three innings, allowing three runs on only three hits with three walks.

Emily Champagne hurled the final three innings, surrendering only one hit while fanning four and walking none.

Brittany Broussard led the Lady Tigers at the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Morgan Baudoin, Katie Sonnier and Lexi Coleman all went 1 for 3 on the day. Coleman recorded the Lady Tigers’ run.

Hanson (13-3) slipped to 2-1 in district action.

The Lady Tigers will travel to play Gueydan on Thursday.
