Lafayette man arrested for open container

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest:

—Mark Goff, 51, of Amite Drive in Lafayette, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday for possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. A deputy patrolling the Patterson area observed a vehicle cross the fog line on U.S. 90 and conducted a traffic stop. During the investigation the deputy observed an open bottle of beer between the legs of a passenger in the vehicle. The passenger was identified as Goff. Goff was released on a summons to appear in court April 17.

Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrest:

—Curtis R. Robinson, 41, of Fourth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday for disturbing the peace by fighting and misrepresentation during booking.

Robinson was arrested after being involved in a fight at the intersection of Fifth and Everett streets. During booking Robinson refused all booking procedures and would not comply, resulting in an additional charge and a delay in his being booked, the report stated.

Robinson was released on a $1,184 bail.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
