Mary and Albert Ledet Jr. of New Iberia wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tanika Ledet to Derrick Parker.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert George Sr., Mrs. Albert Ledet Sr. and the late Mr. Albert Ledet Sr. She is a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School and is currently employed with Sleep Solutions of New Iberia.

The prospective groom is the son of Adolph Parker Sr. and the late Susie Mae Parker. He is the grandson of Mr. Milton Davis, the late Mrs. Vivian D. Davis and Mr. and Mrs. John Parker. He is a graduate of Franklin Senior High School and is currently employed with McDermott.

The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, May 26 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in New Iberia.
