Eugene Lee LeNoir and Sara E. LeNoir, residents of Bayou Vista, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.

Eugene was born Nov. 15, 1970, in Erath, the son of Mary Puckett and Rodney LeNoir.

Sara was born Aug. 1, 1971, in Butte, Mont., the daughter of Barbara Earll Johnston and Robert Nevin Stephenson.

Lee and Sara had a love of riding motorcycles and were members of the American Legion Riders. Lee was a member of the American Legion Post 242 in Patterson. Lee was a proud member of the Louisiana National Guard, serving a tour of duty during Desert Storm.

Lee and Sara together participated in many local charity events. Lee and Sara had many friends that were close to them, and neither one of them ever met a stranger.

Eugene is survived by his mother, Mary Puckett and her husband Larry Puckett of Morgan City; father, Rodney LeNoir and his wife Diane of Baton Rouge; daughter, Aleigha LeNoir of Bayou Vista; stepdaughter, Keely Ojala of Bayou Vista; sister, Tracey LeNoir of Youngsville; brother, Kyle LeNoir of Youngsville; grandmother, Dorothy Choplin of Broussard; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Choplin.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Keely Ojala of Bayou Vista; stepdaughter, Aleigha LeNoir of Bayou Vista; two sisters, Heather Howes and husband Drew of Carlin, Nev., and Robyn Johnston of Butte, Mont.; brother, James Stephenson and wife Serah of Belgrade, Mont.; grandfather, Fred Earll of Great Falls, Mont.; stepfather, Steve Johnston of Butte, Mont.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Earll Johnston and Robert Nevin Stephenson.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City with a memorial service being held at 7 p.m.

Military honors for Lee will be presented by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
