Members of the Franklin Garden Club hosted a reception for judges of the annual Christmas Lighting and Decorating contest prior to setting out to view the displays. Judges were Trudy Bourgeois, Beth Rodrigues, Julie Robin, Bonnie Brossett, Patti Lancon, Peggy Parker and Janeen Robicheaux. Winners in the four homes categories were Paul and Loretta Clark, Cedar Street, first place, and Barry Sanders, Lee Charles Street, second place; Greg and Brenda Paul, West Ibert, first, and Robin and Kevin Ecuer, Canal Street, second; Mr, and Mrs. Joe Battaglio, Main street, first, and Violet Thompson, Clark Street, second; and Paul and Glenda Comeaux, Eastwood Drive, first, and Andre Dugas and Carmen Cole, Cedarwood Drive, second. Business category awards went to Franklin Flower Shop, first, and Fad’s, both of Main Street.
