Lillie Irby Eschete Duplantis, 73, a native of Mississippi, a past resident of Thibodaux and current resident of Patterson, expired Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at 12:57 a.m. and is now resting in the Lord awaiting the resurrection.

A memorial service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at 10:30 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Duplantis Jr.; her four children, Ronald Eschete II and wife Jan, Rory Eschete Sr. and wife Tanya, Romonda Eschete, and Rosalyn Eschete Rowley and husband Craig; 10 grandchildren, Cory Clement, Whitney Robichaux, Rae Eschete, Ross Eschete, Rory Eschete II, Rhylan Eschete, Rhiana Eschete, Caleb Rowley, Cameron Rowley and Lindsey LeJeune; and three siblings, Doris Navalance, Paul Irby and O’neal Irby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles T. and Lena G. Irby; and her brother, Charles Ray Irby.

She was a cosmetologist, taught modeling, hosted local pageants and was a bookkeeper for the family businesses.

She was an active member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church and loved volunteering in the communities in which she lived. She loved the Lord and sharing the Word of God.
