Linwood Adam Mayon, 73, a Charenton native and Amelia resident, died Thursday at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.

Mayon is survived by his wife, Katie Mayon of Amelia; two sons, Adam Mayon of Pierre Part and Richard Mayon of Patterson; one granddaughter; one stepson, Clance Lloyd of Bayou Vista; one stepdaughter, Leann Lloyd of Morgan City; four step-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Mayon of Morgan City; one sister, Mary Blanco of Morgan City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mayon was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until noon with a service of Christian Burial starting at noon.

Mayon will be buried in the Morgan City Cemetery.
