A Little Free Library is located at 702 Third St. in Morgan City. The Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization launched by Wisconsin resident Todd Bol who created a free-standing miniature library as a memorial to his mother. Phyllis Glover, back row second from left, of Morgan City recently became the steward and librarian for the one in her community, which is believed to be the first registered little free library in the surrounding parishes. After going to the organization’s website, www.littlefreelibrary.org, she, her father and her husband downloaded the plans to create a free-standing library to hold a collection of roughly 30 books of children’s literature that is open all day, every day. Donations of all books are welcomed. With Glover is a host of neighbors that utilize the library.
