MORGAN CITY JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL’S volleyball team held its first Cancer
Walk-A-Thon on Sept. 15 at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City. Money was raised will
benefit the Miles Perret Cancer Services/Sallie Astor Burdine Foundation in partnership with OncoLogics. In the top photo, MCJHS volleyball
coach Allise Jennings holds a balloon, representing all those who have passed
away from cancer. The balloon was released before the start of the walk. In the bottom photo, Yvonne Morrison of Amelia strolls her 10-month old granddaughter, Ella Chauvin of Amelia, during the walk.
