—Daniel Harper, 38, of Leo Drive, Patterson, arrested on U.S. 90 near Fairview Street in Bayou Vista at 6:15 p.m. Monday for driving under suspension. Released on a summons to appear in court on Oct. 4.
—Carmen A. Verdun, 29, of K Street, Patterson, was arrested at the Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista at 2:26 p.m. Monday for theft of goods and warrants for failure to appear. Store security alleges that Verdun was observed placing items in her purse before attempting to leave the store. The value of the items was about $51. The responding deputy also learned that Verdun had two outstanding warrants. She was booked, incarcerated, and later released on a $398.50 bond.
—Hector R. Santos, 31, of Main Street, Patterson, arrested at the Amelia Belle Casino at 5:45 p.m. Monday for remaining where forbidden. He had previously been permanently banned from the casino but entered anyway. Issued a summons to appear in court on Oct. 4.
—Ernest P. Stratton Jr., 50, of Third Street, Berwick, was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Monday at a residence on Levee Road in Morgan City on a warrant for failure to appear for drug court. He was booked into the parish jail with bond set at $100,000.
—Jonette Guidry Lange, 33, and Joshua S. Guidry, 37, of First Street, Berwick, arrested at home at 3:49 p.m. Monday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Guidry being charged with possession of Schedule III narcotics. Agents of the sheriff’s office narcotics division went to the residence to investigate multiple complaints of illegal drug activity. Agents received consent to search the residence and located marijuana and drug paraphernalia including pipes and a scale. Guidry was also found to be in possession of Subutex pills. Lange was released on a summons to appear in court on Oct. 4. Guidry was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond has not been set.
The Patterson Police Department reported the following arrest overnight according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—David Avery Montgomery, 35, of Kem Street, Patterson, arrested near the intersection of Martin Luther King and Live Oak streets for driving while intoxicated first offense, expired driver’s license and a stop sign violation. He was incarcerated with no bond set.
The Morgan City Police Department made the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Marc Folse:
—Dennis Adams, 42, of Grant Street, Napoleonville, arrested at 9:15 a.m. Friday on two counts of illegal possession of stolen property and later with two counts of simple burglary. The burglaries occurred July 11 and July 12 when the victims had left their purses unattended in their vehicles. Charlie’s Pawn Shop contacted MCPD about a suspect attempting to pawn two rings. He was taken to the police department where the rings were recovered and identified by the victims. Adams claimed he had bought the rings from someone else. He was arrested, booked and incarcerated with no bond set.
—A male juvenile, 15, was arrested at 12:11 p.m. Monday and charged with warrants for two counts of simple burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia. MCPD detectives were investigating two residential burglaries which occurred April 16 and July 3. In the April burglary, the victim’s purse was taken from her residence. In the July burglary, several guns were taken. Detectives received information that one of the guns had been dumped into the Walnut Street Canal behind the suspect’s house. On July 11, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff Office dive team began searching the bottom of the canal and located the gun as well as the purse which had been taken in the April burglary. A search warrant was obtained for the residence of the juvenile and two other guns reported missing from the July 3 burglary was found. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile detention center in St. James Parish pending juvenile court action.
—Britten Boudreaux, 27, of Elizabeth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:08 a.m. Sunday on warrants from Terrebonne Parish on a charge of domestic abuse battery. He is awaiting transfer to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.
—Krystal Meranta, 23, of Clarke Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. Sunday and charged with disturbing the peace intoxicated. She remains incarcerated with no bond set.
—Ronald Johnson, 49, of North 49th Street, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. Sunday and charged with a warrant for resisting an officer and contempt of court. He remains incarcerated with no bond set.
—Gary Davis, of La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Sunday and charged with disturbing the peace. He remains incarcerated with no bond set.
