The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office search and rescue division began looking for Randy Segura, 45, of Franklin, when he didn’t return from a trip to the Belle Island area of Atchafalaya Bay Sunday night.
Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, the U.S. Coast Guard and Civil Air Patrol joined in the search.
Segura was located by the sheriff’s office just after 2 p.m. Monday near the Possum Bayou area. He was towed back to the landing and reported to be fine.
He indicated he had been boating and ran out of fuel. He was unavailable for comment this morning.
