Berwick’s Rennen Delatte followed through on a pitch during last week’s scrimmage against New Iberia. The Berwick Lady Panthers, who went 0-2 in the Teurlings Catholic Jamboree Saturday, will open their regular season Tuesday on
the road against Ascension Catholic.
Central Catholic went 1-1, while Berwick went 0-2 at the Teurlings Catholic Jamboree Saturday.
Central Catholic defeated Berwick, while the Lady Eagles fell to Teurlings, 3-0.
Berwick also fell to Teurlings Catholic, 3-1.
The Lady Eagles will open their season Tuesday with a 4 p.m. contest against Ellender in Bayou Vista, while the Lady Panthers will open their season Tuesday at Ascension Catholic at 4 p.m.
The Lady Panthers’ junior varsity will play today at Catholic High-New Iberia at 5 p.m.
On Friday, the Berwick junior varsity squad finished 2-0 in jamboree action with a 1-0 victory against Thibodaux and a 3-0 win against Assumption.
Morgan City goes 1-1 at Assumption
The Morgan City Lady Tigers finished 1-1 in the Assumption Jamboree Saturday with a 5-2 victory against St. James, while the squad fell 4-0 to Vandebilt Catholic.
Against St. James, Tyler Hebert struck out five and walked two, while Regan Barbier fanned one and walked one.
Brandi Ingram had two RBI for Morgan City, while Dwanna Lebeau added an RBI and Hebert, a single and a run.
Against Vandebilt Catholic, Hebert struck out one, walked one and hit two batters.
Marilynn Bailey, Ingram and Aliya Green all recorded singles.
Morgan City will open its season Tuesday at home against Thibodaux at 4 p.m.
