Jim Parvino of Berwick, left, and Darrell Gautier of Morgan City recently recorded holes-in-one a little more than a week apart at different golf courses. Parvino recorded his 23rd hole-in-one of his career on hole No. 2 Friday at Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. He achieved the feat using an eight-iron from 134 yards. His playing partners were Gippy LaCoste, Calvin LeLeux and Glenn Jumonville. Gautier, scored his third career hole-in-one Oct. 18 at La Tour golf course in Matthews. He was faced with a 25-mph up wind shot, using a 7-wood on a 148-yard par three. Witnesses for the feat were Daniel Dies, Jeff Barton and Henry Soudelier.
