Lumberjacks rally by FSHS Hornets

PATTERSON _ DeAndre Skinner poured in a game-high 17 points, leading the Patterson Lumberjacks to a 63-46 District 9-3A win over the Franklin Hornets here Friday at the Patterson High School Gym.

Patterson benefited from an 18-4 fourth quarter bulge to break open a close contest which ended with the ‘Jacks nursing a 45-42 advantage. In the final period, the Lumberjacks outpointed the Hornets win.

Avery Bell and Micheal Poledore led the Hornets in scoring with 15 points apiece. Bell drained a trio of treys and three deuces while Poledore bagged three treys and a pair of deuces along with 2 of 2 free throws. Other scorers for Franklin were: Jarion Brown, 6; Brennan Robinson, 6 and Cedric Paul, 4.

Skinner led Patterson with 17 points while Dylan Sanders tossed in 13 and Tremaine Lightfoot tallied 10.

Franklin (13-14, 7-4) will travel to face Berwick tonight in District 9-3A action.
