Since MADD’s inception in 1998, 3,563 impaired drivers have been removed from the roads by local police and state troopers, 232 from November 2010 to November 2011. Of that total, 156 were first offense; 46 were second offense; 21 were third offense; and one each were fourth and fifth offense.
