Memorial services will be held at a later date for Marie Emerite Babin Collins, 74, an Erath native and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 8:50 a.m., with her husband at her side.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Collins Jr. of Franklin; one daughter, Jessie C. Curtis of Franklin; one son, John Paul Collins of Franklin; three brothers, Leroy Babin of New Iberia, Roy Babin of Georgia and Paul Babin of Youngsville; seven grandchildren, Luke Romero Jr., Joseph Romero, Brad Romero, Timothy Curtis, Angela Curtis, Christopher Collins and Celeste Collins; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Collins Romero; one grandson, Cameron Collins; one granddaughter, Hope Romero; one brother, Moise Gerard; two sisters, Lillian Joyce Babin and Pauline Babin; and her parents, Audresey Babin and Clemente Gerard Babin.
