Mary Burgess, 81, a resident of New Iberia and a native of Verdunville, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center, at 8:05 a.m.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 19 at Faith Cathedral, Hwy. 14 in New Iberia, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Verdunville.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Kimball Burgess, Harry Burgess and Keith Burgess, all of New Iberia; three daughters, Gisele Burgess, Darlene Burgess Tauriac and Danette Burgess, all of New Iberia; three sisters, Iona Pellerin Rochon of New Iberia, Mrs. Clyde (Etta Pellerin) Smith of Franklin and Blanch Pellerin of Aurora, Colorado; four brothers, Percy Harry Pellerin and Charles Pellerin, both of Verdunville, Ronald (Glenora) Pellerin of Verdunville and Anthony Guy (Sheryl) Pellerin of Houston, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, three grandchildren, her parents and six brothers and sisters.
