Mrs. Mary Nedd Mathews, 67, a resident of Sorrell and native of Franklin, died Monday, January 9, 2012, at 5:06 a.m., at Iberia Extended Care Hospital following a short illness.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Bosco” Mathews of Sorrell; one son, Kevin W. Nedd of Franklin and several stepsons; several stepdaughters; two brothers, Gerald and Mathew Nedd of Franklin; three sisters, Thresa Delin of Desoto, Texas, Evelyn N. Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada and Emma Johnson of Franklin; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her parents, one stepdaughter and one brother.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Otis Mortuary Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Terry Lee Joseph officiating. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
