Tuesday at 6 p.m., the Morgan City City Council will hold its monthly public meeting at the City Court Building on Highway 182 East.

Revised city council district maps will be discussed, and the council hopes to make a final decision on the recent redistricting process necessitated by changes in the city’s demographics in the 2010 census. Mayor Tim Matte said Thursday that if a decision could not be reached by Tuesday’s meeting the possibility of a delay for the fall elections would exist.

Also to be discussed at the meeting are:

—Recommendations from the finance committee to allocate $150,000 from capital additions and contingencies to the utilities for a repaired transformer from recent lightning strikes and two new breakers.

—Several change orders, including for improvements to Victor II Boulevard and pump station upgrades.

—A first reading of adoption of the adjusted millage rates for tax year 2012.

—Liquor and beer permits.
