Mitchell J. Rousse, 33, of Diane Street, Patterson, was arrested today at 8:44 a.m., approximately one week after Morgan City Police detectives were contacted by Kenner Police, who indicated they were working a case in which Rousse was allegedly using a computer to solicit minors online for sexual purposes, Morgan City Police Chief Marc Folse said.
Folse said the Kenner Police traced the Internet Protocol address to First Baptist Church in Morgan City, and Kenner authorities, with the assistance of the MCPD, Louisiana State Police and the Office of Homeland Security, executed a search warrant at the church for Rousse’s computer and located Rousse there.
He subsequently was arrested and booked into the City Jail, where he remained today awaiting transfer to Kenner.
