The Morgan City High School boys’ bowling squad continued its dominance with wins this week against Central Catholic and H.L. Bourgeois.
On Monday, the squad defeated Central Catholic, 20-7, while on Wednesday, Morgan City defeated H.L. Bourgeois, 23-4, both at Charlie’s Lane in Morgan City.
Against CCHS, highlights for Morgan City included Chandler Delaune (215) with high series of 581, Ryan Veillion (224) and Taylor Brocato (221).
For CCHS, Jacob Pennison (236) recorded a 560 series, while Josh Abney totaled a score of 201.
Against H.L. Bourgeois, Brocato (222, 214) recorded a high series of 670, while Delaune (247, 236), Brett Keton (243) and Veillion (219) also highlighted MCHS’ boys play.
With the wins, MCHS improves to 8-1.
In other action on Monday, Morgan City’s girls’ squad defeated CCHS, 16-11. Lauren Aucoin (150 game) led MCHS, while Katrina Robertson (150, 161) recorded a 428 series for CCHS.
In other Wednesday boys’ action, Berwick defeated E.D. White, 22-5; and CCHS fell to South Lafourche, 24-3.
In other Wednesday girls’ action, H.L. Bourgeois defeated MCHS, 22-5; and South Terrebonne defeated CCHS, 22-5.
In Berwick’s boys’ win, Paul Reed (204) recorded a high series for Berwick at 560, while Devin Quick (205) also stood out for the Panthers.
With the win, Berwick improves to 6-3 overall.
In CCHS’ boys’ loss to South Lafourche, Pennison (205) recorded a 504 high series for CCHS, while Treville Lebouef (560) recorded a high series for South Lafourche and Kyle Franks recorded a 204.
With the loss, CCHS falls to 0-10.
Against H.L. Bourgeois girls on Wednesday, Skyla Boudreaux (161 game and 444 series) as well as Jennifer Vu (158 series) led MCHS, while Bridgette Sondelirt (197 game and 497 series) led HLB.
In its loss to South Terrebonne on Thursday, CCHS’ Jada Pennison (156 game and 414 high series) were the top performers.
