A Morgan City inventor has entered his creation into an “American Idol”-type competition to have his product placed on Wal-Mart shelves across the nation.

Ed Billiot’s Sliding Mirror System is touted to clearly show the back and both sides of a person’s head, hands-free. From the description on the contest website, “The specially crafted design of the curved panels make ‘The Sliding Mirror System’ the only wall mirror that clearly shows a 360 degree panoramic view of a person’s image.”

The product with the most votes on the Get on the Shelf website between March 7 and April 3 will win a spot on the shelves of Wal-Mart stores.

Vote daily by texting 2354 to 383838, by visiting http://www.panoramicenterprises.com, or directly on the contest website at http://www.getontheshelf.com/product/2354/Panoramic-Sliding-Mirror.
