Light up with Christmas cheer and compete in the City of Morgan City and American Legion Post 96 Family Christmas Lighting Contest.

Judging will take place Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

Residents wishing to be judged must register with City Hall by Dec. 11 and have their lights on at 6 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Prizes for first through third place will be awarded in two categories — original Christmas and patriotic.

There will be two divisions for awards: citywide and Bernice Street.

Also, Berwick Garden Club will be judging its Christmas Lighting Contest Sunday and Monday at 6 p.m. Residents are reminded that Sunday’s judging will be mobile homes and Monday’s judging will be all others.

Patterson Garden Club and the City of Patterson will hold its contest Dec. 14 and 16 from 6-8 p.m. Patterson residents are reminded that mobile home judging is Dec. 14 and all others are judged Dec. 16.

Lights should be on by the start of judging in all contests. It is also necessary for residential address numbers to be visible.
