Dwight Williams, 26, of Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. Monday in front of his home after causing a disturbance by arguing with a female.
He had outstanding warrants for domestic abuse battery, entry or remaining after forbidden, disturbing the peace and unauthorized use of motor vehicle from Morgan City, and it was learned during the investigation that he is wanted in Lafayette for failure to register as a sex offender. He remains incarcerated without bond set.
Also arrested by the MCPD were the following:
—Linton R. Cole, 56, of La. 182, Morgan City, arrested while walking along the 7000 block of La. 182 at 8:18 p.m. for a city court warrant for probation violation. Remains incarcerated with no bond set.
—Kenddrick Jones, 25, of Birch Street, Morgan City, arrested at 10:01 p.m. on Marshall Street near Sixth Street for simple battery. Booked and released on payment of $685 bond.
—Kanavia Jones, 26, Birch Street, Morgan City, arrested at 10:13 p.m. near the corner of Orange Street and Federal Avenue for disturbing the peace. Booked and released on payment of $285 bond.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests overnight, according to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert:
—Tanya Naverre, 32, of Cherry Street, Morgan City, arrested in the parish courthouse at 10:08 a.m. Monday on a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for cruelty to animals. Booked into parish jail and later transferred to Morgan City Police Department where she was released from MCPD on payment of $685 bond.
—Jewel A. Ross, 28, of N. Verrett Street, Amelia, arrested in the parish courthouse at 12:30 p.m. Monday on warrants for failure to appear on the charge of no tail lights and failure to appear on the charge of simple robbery. Booked into parish jail with a $30,319.50 bond.
—John Roath, 60, of Solar Trace, Thibodaux, arrested in Amelia at 9:14 p.m. Monday for driving under suspension after deputies responded to a report of a reckless vehicle on La. 182 in the area. Issued a summons to appear in court on Sept. 12.
—Cherie Adams, 45, of Nini Road, Bayou Vista, arrested at 10:37 p.m. Monday for reckless operation, possession of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and disturbing the peace. Arrest was made after a disturbance, and Adams is alleged to have run over a tree in her neighbor’s yard when attempting to leave. Booked into the parish jail with a $2,000 bond and later released.
The Patterson Police Department made the following arrest, according to Chief Patrick LaSalle.
—David James Falzarano, 20, of South Road, Morgan City, was arrested at the Patterson Police Department at 6:59 p.m. Monday on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Released upon payment of $710 bond.
