The Morgan City and Central Catholic high school bowling teams recently took to the lanes for regular season action.
The MCHS boys dominated E.D. White, 24-3, to improve to 4-0.
In the win, the Tigers continued to break region records for single game at 1,288 (215 average per person) and for a three-game series, 3,532 (196 average per person).
High scorers for Morgan City were Taylor Brocato (236, 230, 234) 700 series, Austin Courtney (214, 213, 245), Brett Keton (245), Chandler Delaune (204, 220) and Ryan Veillion (201, 219)
In other boys action, Vandebilt defeated CCHS, 26-1.
High scorers for CCHS included Josh Abney (201) and Jacob Pennison (185).
In girls action, Central Catholic defeated Vandebilt, 19-8.
High scorers for CCHS included Katrina Robertson (159) and Jada Pennison (142).
In earlier season action, MCHS boys’ and girls’ squads defeated CCHS, 24-3 and 17½-9½, respectively.
In the boys’ matchup, Delaune led MCHS with a 690 series (238, 228, 224), while Courtney (204), Brocato (215) and Gabe Montet (205) also contributed for the winners.
For Central Catholic, Ethan Cline recorded a 213 game.
In the girls’ matchup, Skyla Boudreaux (133, 139) and Brittany Pearce (135) were tops for Morgan City, while Samantha Billiot (140) and Katrina Robertson (135) led Central Catholic.
In other action, Veillion rolled 10 strikes in a row against Berwick and finished with a 285 game in late January action. This is a record score posted in the Morgan City/Houma/Terrebonne high school regional area.
