Michael Lewis, 50, a native of Lafayette and resident of Charenton, died March 11, 2012 at New Iberia Manor North.
He leaves to cherish his memories three brothers, Calvin Martin (Nina) of Charenton, Terry Lewis (Danielle) of Abbeville and Wilbur Thibodeaux of Charenton; one uncle, Leroy Lewis of Houston, Texas; one aunt, Mable Lewis of Houston; three first cousins, Peggy Patrick of Beaumont, Texas, Winnona Smith and Natalie Lewis of Houston; a godchild, Lawrence Martin of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; a niece, Abriana Martin; two nephews, Calvin D. Martin and Lawrence Martin; one great niece, Carli Martin; devoted friends, Rev. & Mrs. Arnold R. Joseph, Mrs. Anequia P. Martinez and children; and numerous other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Mae Lewis Martin; maternal grandparents, Idella and Lawrence Lewis Sr.; one aunt, Laura M. Patrick; two uncles, Lawrence Lewis Jr., George Patrick and Emma Mae Carter, a caring mother.
Services will be held March 17, at 1 p.m., at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia. The Rev. Arnold Ray Joseph will officiate. A repast will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Annex in Charenton.
Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
