Man allegedly threatens Walmart bomb if girlfriend doesn't call

BFEAUX BRIDGE – A man wanted to talk to his girlfriend so much that he allegedly threatened to blow up Walmart.

Police responded to a call of a bomb threat at the Wal-Mart on Rees Street this week.

Trey Newsom, 20, of Prairieville allegedly told a employee of the beauty salon located inside the Wal-Mart that if she didn’t tell his girlfriend to call him he was going to blow up the business.

Newsom, was arrested and charged with terrorizing and communicating of planned arson. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail.
