Eric C. Harvey, 28, of Adams Street in Morgan City was charged with possession of stolen property worth more than $15,000, battery of a police officer, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license and a stop sign violation.
Harvey attracted police attention at Sixth and Onstead streets when he sped through a stop sign in a Chevrolet Avalanche which was later discovered to have been stolen, Chief Marc Folse said.
