The investigation began on August 9 when family members contacted the police department.
Bruce Hall of Wilson Point Road southeast of Pineville is charged with two counts of aggravated rape and one count of sexual battery.
He is held on $1 million bond.
Police did not reveal the age or the gender of the alleged victim.
