A Eunice man might have felt like he stepped into a nursery tale when he awoke Sunday morning to find a strange man sleeping in an empty room in his house.

Eunice Police received a call around 6:30 a.m. regarding an intruder inside a residence in the 500 block of East Maple Ave.

Upon arrival, the homeowner told police he had woken up that morning to find a naked stranger sleeping in an empty bedroom in the house.

Officers placed the man, identified as Hilton J. Skinner, Jr., under arrest.

Police said Skinner had been intoxicated and told officers he didn’t remember how he had gotten into the house.

Police said Skinner refused to answer several questions from officers during booking.

Skinner, 29, of 11501 Southwest 15th St., Apt. #1623, Yukon, Okla., was charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and misrepresentation during booking.
