Man, woman held on multiple drug, weapons charges

MARKSVILLE – Deputies arrested a man and woman Monday on multiple drug and weapons charges, seizing pills, cash and a number of guns in the process.

Sheriff Doug Anderson said the charges came after an investigation of alleged illegal drug trafficking at Marksville resident.

Arrested were: Wayne Dauzat, 42, and Tiffany Jeansonne, 22, both residing at 280 Marion Rd.

Investigators arrested the couple after seizing a quantity of suspected Marijuana along with an assortment of Lortab, Phenobarbital and Vicoden pills and tablets.

Deputies also seized seven long guns, one being a AK-47 type assault rifle, and 95 boxes of ammunition in addition to 3 handguns and over $8,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug trafficking.

Dauzat and Jeansonne were booked on Possession of Schedule I, II, III and IV CDS with Intent to Distribute and Illegal Carrying of Weapons.
