The unveiling of a message board at Front and Freret streets in Morgan City was held Thursday afternoon. The surviving family members of Jason M. Bergeron, who passed away Jan. 8, donated the board. Bergeron was a native and resident of Morgan City, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and the retired self-employed business owner of B&B Pump and Equipment Rentals. From left are Damon Bergeron and his wife Suzanne, nieces Elise Hidalgo and Jeanne Marie Hidalgo and nephew Blake Hidalgo; Sharon Bergeron, Judith Bergeron Hidalgo and her husband Billy Hidalgo.
