LAFAYETTE — MidSouth Bank has hired a vice president/commercial lender who will work out of the bank’s Mesquite, Texas, and Rockwall facilities.

Brad Hanley has joined MidSouth Bank and will work out of the Mesquite office at 2828 N. Galloway Ave. and the Rockwall facility at 2435 Ridge Road.

Hanley, a 36-year veteran of the local banking industry, will service commercial clients and develop new business accounts throughout eastern Dallas and in Rockwall, Kaufman and Hunt counties in Texas.

He has completed extensive training and coursework in banking, as well as the first course of the intermediate banking school at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business in Dallas.

For the past three years, Hanley was senior vice president and commercial lender for First State Bank of Mesquite. He also previously worked for Colonial Bank for more than 10 years and Northeast National Bank for two years.

A Mesquite resident, Hanley is active in the local community, having served on the advisory board of Dallas Regional Medical Center for the past seven years and currently serving as president. He also is president of the city of Mesquite’s 4-B Sales Tax Board and is founding president and a member of the local chapter of AMBUCS, a non-profit service organization dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
