A Eunice man in jail allegedly received a very special care package from his mother, and now faces an additional charge because of it.

Eunice radio log records indicate inmate Phillip Lafleur, 18, received a care package at the jail, reportedly from his mother.

A Eunice Police officer opened the package, and found "2G Bob Marley" synthetic marijuana inside a resealed box of Hostess Cupcakes, according to the report.

Lafleur was charged with introducing contraband into a penal institution.

Police have not said if Lafleur’s mother will be charged.

Lafleur was jailed after allegedly breaking into a Hazel Street home and enticing a 13-year-old into leaving the house with him in her mother’s car.

The vehicle was then in an accident and Lafleur allegedly fled the scene, being found later the next morning at another residence.

Lafleur was charged with unauthorized entry, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, simple kidnapping, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, criminal damage, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, switched plates and no driver’s license.
