The victor in the Quest for the Golden Monkey was Tracey Matthiews of Patterson, who won $250. Matthiews found the monkey statuette at the Joe C. Russo boat landing.
Teche Regional Medical Center sponsored the contest, which was held in conjunction with the Tarzan Lord of the Louisiana Jungle Festival in Morgan City Friday and Saturday.
