Morgan City man arrested on cocaine charge

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests since Wednesday morning, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:

—Rudolph David Taylor, 54, of South Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine. A deputy conducting building checks in the Bayou Vista area observed a subject walking on La. 182 near Southeast Boulevard. The subject was identified as Taylor, and the deputy conducted a warrants check. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Jessica Gollmer, 32, of Bayside Apartments, Berwick, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. Thursday on Freret Street near Fourth Street in Morgan City for possession of drug paraphernalia. Agents conducted a traffic stop after they observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop on the U.S. 90 exit ramp. During the traffic stop investigation, agents located a glass smoking pipe in the vehicle, the report stated. Gollmer was released on a summons to appear in court.

The Morgan City Police Department made one arrest Wednesday evening, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco:

—Jeremy Jean Jacques, 24, of South Railroad, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday on Bush Street on a warrant for failure to pay fine. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
