the early morning hours Monday on Cotton Street.
Detectives learned through the course of their investigation that Glenn McNemar III had
possibly committed the crime, stated a news release from Glenn Blanco, assistant police chief.
Investigators gathered information on McNemar and he was located at his residence in the 900 block of Cottowood Street, Blanco reported.
Police discovered that the St. Mary Parish sheriff held a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on the charge of DWI and he was arrested, the news release stated.
McNemar was questioned about his knowledge of the aggravated burglary and aggravated
rape, Blanco stated.
McNemar confessed to the crime, Blanco stated.
McNemar was arrested at 12:11 p.m. Tuesday, Blanco stated.
No bail has been set on McNemar.
