Kathleen Dougherty Neustrom and Brennan Joseph Bishop exchanged wedding vows at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia on Friday, October 21. Reverend Mark Derise and Reverend Charles Langlois officiated at the evening Nuptial Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Duane Paul and Theresa Dougherty Neustrom of New Iberia. She is the granddaughter of Henriette Schwing Dougherty and the late Patrick Dougherty, and the late Owen and Barbara B. Neustrom.

The groom is the son of Mr. Bret Joseph and Sherry Schexnayder Bishop of Jeanerette. He is the grandson of Leopold “Paul” and Marie Adams Schexnayder of Franklin, and the late Donald James Senior and Gloria Bishop of Jeanerette.

The bride wore an elegant ivory silk Italian jacquard gown with a silk illusion fingertip length veil. Her bouquet of white hydrangeas was entwined with their grandmothers’ rosaries.

Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Mary Elizabeth Neustrom. Bridesmaids were Kelli Neustrom, sister of the bride; Amanda Hammon Shea; Nancy Ardizone and Elizabeth Carpenter, friends of the bride.

Best man was Christopher Bishop, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brian Neustrom and Patrick Neustrom, brothers of the bride; Lee Bishop, cousin of the groom and Scott Shea, friend of the groom. Ushers were Corbin Bishop, cousin of the groom; David Duplantis, Justin Landry and Brandon Walmsley, friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Ryan Ashley Simon and Layne Chapman Simon, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Simon. Ring bearer was Donald James “Tre’” Bishop III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Bishop.

A wedding reception for family and friends was held at Antique Roseville.
