Motorists are advised that the speed limit will decrease from 20 mph to 15 mph along Elm Street between Belanger and Spruce streets between the hours of 7-9 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. This area affects drivers en route to M.E. Norman Elementary School.
The Morgan City Police Department is giving notice to motorists that the change adds one block to the school zone. While speed always is enforced in the area, motorists will be given a short period of time to adjust to the change.
