St. Mary Parish Clerk of Court Cliff Dressel, above, took the oath of office on Monday from 16th Judicial District Judge John E. Conery, right. Dressel was accompanied by his wife, Renelle. He is beginning his eighth term as clerk of court and has worked in the Clerk’s Office since 1966. He has served twice as president of the Louisiana Clerk of Courts’ Association. Below, the oath of office for Chief Deputy Clerk of Court Jane Pilant was issued by Dressel. Pilant began work at the Clerk’s Office in 1962 and has served in her present capacity since 1984.
