John and Paulette Olivier of Opelousas wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Renee Olivier to Toby John Blanchard.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olivier, Tonas Guillory and Dorsey Dozat. She is a graduate of both Opelousas Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is currently employed with TB Guillory, Inc.

The prospective groom is the son Lyn Blanchard and the late Raymond Blanchard of Franklin. He is the grandson of Marjorie Blanchard, the late Jeff Blanchard, the late Alex Parro and Billie Parro. He is a graduate of both Franklin Senior High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a partner in the Thibodaux, Hebert, Deshotels, Leblanc C.P.A. firm.

The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. at City Club at River Ranch in Lafayette.
