Jared Hillard
Sheriff Mark Hebert reported that Jared J. Hillard, 20, of 504 Sixth St., was charged Wednesday morning with disturbing the peace, aggravated assault and illegal use of a dangerous weapon.
He was charged in an incident on Bray Lane Monday evening where Keith Pierre, 18, of Franklin, was shot in the arm. Pierre was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital by Acadian Ambulance and treated.
Hillard was already incarcerated at the parish jail on charges from Franklin Police, who arrested him following the Monday night incident on charges of aggravated second-degree battery and aggravated battery.
He reportedly was involved in yet another fight in Franklin on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Hillard is being held on a $75,000 bond.
