Several proposed ordinances await the St. Mary Parish Council when it meets in regular session Wednesday. The first regular meeting of December is being held a week early due to the upcoming holiday. The second regular meeting usually held on the fourth Wednesday of the month will also be held early on Nov. 14.

The proposed ordinances include adoption of the 2012 fiscal year budget and five-year capital outlay plan; repeal of the load capacity limit on LaGrange-Robicheaux Road; setting of the council clerk’s salary; and a specific use permit on a communication tower at the Port of West St. Mary. A public hearing on the ordinances will be called at 5:45 p.m.

An ordinance set to be introduced would grant a specific use permit for County Line Golf LLC, described as a gentleman’s club at 8691 La. 182, Morgan City.

Resolutions on the agenda include a contract with COMANCO Environmental Corp. on Phase 2, Stage 2 construction on Cell 4 of the Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick; a financing agreement on the purchase of an excavator and grader; and endorsement of participation in the Quality Jobs Program by LAD Services LLC;

Also to be considered are approval of various funding requests recommended by the Finance Committee for the 2012 fiscal year.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin.
