PATTERSON — The Patterson High School Lumberjills fell in three games to E.D. White in district play Thursday.

The Lumberjills fell 10-25, 10-25, 5-25.

Kailyn Johnson had six digs and a kill for Patterson, while Rebecca Taylor added two points, four digs and a kill. Other PHS contributors included Caitlyn Fontenot, two points, three digs and two kills; Rachel Easley and Carli McIntyre, six digs apiece; and Carissa Fontenot, a point and five assists.

STM defeats CCHS

in five games

Central Catholic on Wednesday took as much as a 2-1 lead on St. Thomas More, the defending Division II runner up, but the home standing Lady Cougars rallied for two consecutive wins to take a 3-2 match in Lafayette.

After falling in the first game 25-19, CCHS won consecutive games, 25-20 and 25-22. However, St. Thomas More won the next two, 18-25 and 8-15 for the victory.

Meo Knight led CCHS in the loss with a double-double with 22 kills and 16 digs, along with four solo blocks and a block assist. Brie Hill added 10 kills, a dig, six solo blocks and a block assist.

Other CCHS contributors included Caroline Byrne, 41 assists and a dig; Gee Garrett, eight kills, four solo blocks and a block assist; Celine Flores, four kills, an ace and 11 digs; and Abbie Bergeron, 21 digs.
